Graff Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Rockford Hosts its Fourth Annual National Jeep “Go Topless” Day Party with Fundraiser for Krause Memorial Library Expansion

Rockford, MI – March 30, 2025 – Graff Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Rockford is proud to announce its fourth annual National Jeep “Go Topless” Day Party on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

National Jeep “Go Topless” Day was established in 2008 by All Things Jeep and has grown into a global celebration, taking place annually on the third Saturday of May. It’s a fun way for Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator owners to mark the start of summer by removing the tops of their vehicles and cruising in style.

“We’ve always seen National Jeep Go Topless Day as an opportunity to thank our customers and celebrate the Jeep community in a laid-back atmosphere,” said Lon Keely, Managing Partner at Graff Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Rockford. “And Bryan Havemeier from Herman’s Boy, a fellow Jeep Wrangler owner, was eager to invite us to join his annual Grillapalooza event. In 2023 we raised funds for local non-profit A Veteran Helping Veteran; in 2024 we doubled our fundraising amount for Saving Souls Pet Alliance. This year we have chosen the Krause Memorial Library Expansion as our nonprofit beneficiary.”

The Krause Memorial Library, which was built in 1937, has become a vital community hub, serving an increasing number of patrons. Despite being one of the smallest libraries in the Kent District Library (KDL) system, it consistently outperforms other branches with the highest circulation per square foot. However, the library’s facilities have remained largely unchanged since its last expansion in 1989, while the population in the area has nearly doubled. Krause Memorial Library’s Regional Manager Jennifer German will lead the Jeep parade in her Wrangler.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Graff Rockford and Herman’s Boy for this family friendly event,” said Anne Hoekstra, treasurer of the Friends of the Krause Memorial Library and member of the Library Expansion Fundraising Committee. “The funds raised will play a crucial role in helping us expand the library’s space and enhance the exceptional services it already provides for people of all ages in our community.”

Jeep Show and Parade Participation

Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator owners can register to participate in the Jeep Show and Parade which will start at 12pm at Graff Rockford. Registrants will be able to take photos of their Jeep with the Rockford Rotary’s “Big Daddy Duck,” receive VIP parking at Herman's Boy, be entered for a chance to win door prizes, and receive the swag bag filled with JEEP merchandise and special offers at local businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for Jeep owners to showcase their vehicles and be part of the festivities while supporting a good cause. The National Jeep Go Topless Day Party is free to attend, family friendly, and open to the public and will begin around noon at Herman’s Boy, with the Jeeps arriving around 1:15pm, and feature a variety of fun activities for attendees of all ages. Highlights include:

• Fundraising auction with great items to bid on
• Scavenger hunt for kids
• “People's Favorite” Jeep voting
• Pop-Up Used Book Sale hosted by the Friends of the Krause Memorial Library

• Photo opportunities with the CarFax Car Fox
